Direct Relationships, Zero Middlemen

greeeeen was founded to solve a real issue in the specialty beverage industry: the vast majority of commercial matcha sold to cafes is either dull culinary byproduct or excessively marked-up ceremonial powder that gets lost in milk.

We partner directly with fourth- and fifth-generation tea estates across Uji (Kyoto), Shizuoka, and Kagoshima. By sourcing tencha directly from single harvests and milling in small, fresh batches, we deliver maximum chlorophyll vibrancy, amino acid richness, and smooth latte solubility.

Beyond green tea, we are expanding traditional Japanese botanical gastronomy—such as micro-milled aromatic Shiso—to give beverage directors distinctive ingredients for signature drinks and pastry.

The Greeeeen Quality Code

  • First & Second Spring Harvests Only: Tender young shoots picked during peak spring flush for high L-theanine and zero harsh astringency.
  • Stone-Ground Precision: Traditional granite mills produce fine, rounded particles that emulsify instantly in drinks.
  • Nitrogen-Flushed Freshness: Packaged in multi-layer aluminum barrier pouches to lock in vivid color and aroma.

Frequently Asked Questions

Key information on our grades, barista preparation, and storage recommendations.

What is the difference between Everyday Café and Ceremonial grades?

Everyday Café Matcha is blended specifically to maintain a strong, vibrant green presence and rich umami against oat, almond, and dairy milk in lattes. Premium Ceremonial Matcha is a single-origin first harvest with an exceptionally delicate, sweet profile designed for pure whisked tea service and reserve menu offerings.

What is Shiso Botanical Powder used for?

Our micro-milled red/purple shiso powder offers natural tartness, floral aroma, and a stunning magenta hue. It is used by craft cocktail bars, pastry chefs, and specialty cafes for signature mocktails, infused syrups, and colorful latte dustings.

How can our café request samples?

Cafes, restaurants, and bars can request a complimentary Barista Discovery Flight directly on our Wholesale page. We ship sample tins along with recipe cards and dial-in guidelines.
